SensGrip - Sensory clamping gripper for the detection and evaluation of the clamped material
Innovation project funded by the state of Baden Württemberg VwW Invest BW - Innovation I between the GERMAN INSTITUTES FOR TEXTILE + FIBRE RESEARCH (DITF) and TRYGONAL GROUP GMBH
The aim of the project is to develop a new type of sensory gripper that can recognise the material to be gripped and evaluate the gripping process. The sensory gripper should be able to compare a recognised clamped object with a known actual state.
The basis of the gripping technology is a reinforced, sensory, pneumatically activated textile membrane, which can also perform Industry 4.0 tasks in conjunction with a new type of connecting element.
