Trygonal supports i-TRIBOMAT project
i-TRIBOMAT will provide the world's first publicly available test platform dedicated to the validation and scaling of new materials, enabling intelligent characterization of tribological materials and promoting industrial innovation in the European manufacturing industry.
Wherever contact between components occurs, the materials chosen, which contribute to friction and wear, determine the performance of technical components and machines. To facilitate intelligent characterization of interacting materials, i-TRIBOMAT integrates key EU-level tribological testing facilities with user-driven IT tools to validate new materials for components. The ultimate goal of i-TRIBOMAT is to reduce costs and time-to-market when upscaling materials.
